“Los domingos” dominates the 2026 Feroz Awards in
Pontevedra

Los domingos, directed by Alauda Ruiz de Azúa, emerged as the big winner at the 2026 Feroz Awards, held at the Pazo da Cultura in Pontevedra, taking home five prizes including Best Drama Film, Best Director, Best Actress for Patricia López Arnaiz, Best Supporting Actress for Nagore Aranburu, and Best Screenplay.
Previously honoured with the Feroz Zinemaldia Award at the San Sebastián International Film Festival, the film confirmed its critical acclaim at a ceremony marked by strong audience engagement and industry recognition.
The Best Comedy Film award went to La cena, while Sirât won Best Original Score for French artist Kangding Ray and Best Trailer. The gala also highlighted Sirât’s double Oscar nomination for Best International Feature Film and Best Sound.
In the television categories, Yakarta and Poquita fe led the honours, winning Best Drama Series and Best Comedy Series respectively. Javier Cámara added a third Feroz Award to his career, while Esperanza Pedreño, Julia de Castro and Secun de la Rosa received their first Feroz wins.
Veteran actress Marta Fernández-Muro was presented with the Feroz Honorary Award, recognising her outstanding career in Spanish cinema and television.
The 2026 Feroz Awards conclude a successful two-year cycle in Pontevedra, with record-breaking viewership figures and strong public participation, reaffirming the city’s role as a key hub for Spanish audiovisual culture.
