Ajit Rai's last day - he visited the Brahma Kumaris
headquaters in London
Ajit Rai's last lunch in London was at the Brahma Kumaris European headquarters in London.
Brahma Kumaris is a worldwide spiritual movement led by women, dedicated to personal transformation and world renewal through Rajyoga Meditation. Founded in India in 1937, Brahma Kumaris has spread to over 110 countries on all continents and has had an extensive impact in many sectors as an international NGO.
He got in touch with this spiritual movement through his actress friend Marianne Borgo and at the Rajasthan Film Festival, where Harilal, the director of Godlywood Studios, came to receive the prize for best animation film “ The light « which was entirely made in the studios in Mt Abu.
Ajit Rai was a member of the media committee at Goa International Film Festival in 2010 and a member of the selection jury at the Cinema of the World International Competition & Indian Panorama in 2014 & 2015.
Ajit, who recently moved from New Delhi to Bombay, dedicated his entire work to promote Indian cinema. As a film festival correspondent for the Jansatta/The Indian Express Group, he always attended A-rated film festivals around the world and was teaching cinema in schools and institutions in small Indian cities in India and even abroad. And he also co-founded several film festivals in India, and abroad.
Ajit was preparing an article about the film which was screened this year during the Festival de Cannes at the Indian Pavillion. This article will now never be published! The Indian Pavillon, a hub for the Indian film industry is co-organised by the FICCI-The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI).
Marianne Borgo with the FICCI director Garims Singh.
Shikha Ben, head of the studios will be organizing a special meditation for Ajit soul.
"We have lost one of our Jury/Advisor of RIFF - Rajasthan International Film Festival … one of our backbones."
I personally hope, that Ajit has found the light at the end of his journey.
